TAXNOVA 2026, organized by Haldia Institute of Management under the IQAC & IIC initiative, was successfully conducted on 15th May 2026. The workshop featured Dr. Aloke Gupta, Assistant Professor in Commerce (WBES), Jhargram Raj College (Govt. of West Bengal), who delivered an insightful session on “New Age Direct Tax Learning: Calculate, Pay & File Returns Online with Ease.” The event provided students with practical knowledge of direct taxation, online tax filing procedures, and the latest developments in the digital tax ecosystem. The interactive session enhanced participants' understanding of tax compliance and financial literacy, making it a valuable learning experience for all attendees.
Haldia Institute of Management presents a Special Invited Lecture organized by IQAC in association with IIC on 11th May 2026, at the Radhavinod Pal Seminar Hall, Haldia Law College. The event will feature Dr. Shantanu Bhowmik discussing “Life Saving Technologies for Indian Defence and Paramilitary Forces” and Dr. Soni Shaikh sharing insights on “Intellectual Property Rights.” A valuable platform to explore innovation, technology, research, and the importance of protecting ideas in today’s knowledge-driven world.
On the occasion of the 77th birthday of Dr. Lakshman Chandra Seth, Haldia Institute of Management took a meaningful step towards sustainability with a Go Green initiative.

A meaningful step towards saving lives! Haldia Institute of Management, in collaboration with ICARE Institute of Medical Sciences and Research and Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy Hospital (IIMSAR & BCRHH), organized a Blood Donation Camp as part of its Social Responsibility Initiative.We sincerely appreciate the spirit of voluntary blood donation and the generous contributors who stepped forward to make a difference. Every drop donated brings hope and gives someone another chance at life. Together, we continue to promote compassion, community service, and awareness for a healthier tomorrow.
World Health Day 2026 was observed on 7th April with a meaningful workshop on the theme “Together for Health, Stand with Science”, organized by IQAC - HIM in association with IIC - HIM. All first-year students from every department attended the session and actively engaged in discussions on health awareness and scientific responsibility. The workshop featured distinguished speakers - Prof. Amlan Ghosh, Professor & Head, Department of Management Studies, NIT Durgapur; Prof. Saibal Mukherjee, Retired Professor, MBA Department, Jadavpur University; and Dr. Abhimanyu Bishnu, M.S., M.Ch (Oncology), Saroj Gupta Cancer Centre & Research Institute - who shared valuable insights on building a healthier and informed society.
